I’m writing this post on the day before my wedding. How appropriate to write about the happiest of flowers, Helianthus annuus, the sunflower.

I am indeed in a very happy mood today!

If I had to name a single feel-good flower, the one that is most asked for, regardless of the season, it’s the peony.

I’d say the ranunculus is an almost perfect flower, and it’s just about everyone’s favourite flower.

I find poppies incredibly showy with their crêpe-like pleated petals and their skinny, curvilinear stems.

Carnations get a bad rap! Cheap and tawdry, the last resort of a desperate date, bought on route to the party. But I’ll be the first to admit, I’ve always had a soft spot for them!
